Each case is tailored to the individual patient and dentist, so it is best to contact us directly once you have a patient who is interested in receiving our care. Or if you are an interested patient, ask your dentist to contact us. There are a few general guidelines that we follow.
All patients will require a pre-operative phone interview with the dentist anesthesiologist where the patient’s medical history
will be reviewed and any questions will be answered. Certain patients may require a
medical consultation with their physician as well prior to formulating
the best anesthetic plan.
In
order to best plan our anesthesia technique, we also request the
dentist provide us with a complete treatment plan for the patient. The
day of the procedure, we will arrive early to set up our equipment in
the office. The patient should also arrive early so that we may review
any changes that may impact the anesthetic. During the course of
treatment, each patient is monitored closely to ensure adequate delivery
of anesthesia with close attention to all standard monitoring
parameters. Upon completion of the dental treatment, we will recover the
patient until he or she is ready to leave the office with an escort.
Once a tentative treatment date has been determined, the patient or parent must fill out the appropriate medical forms and submit a nonrefundable deposit to secure and confirm the appointment.
